Vintage Cars in store: Porsche 911 Carrera 4S from 1996
The last air-cooled 911 – sought-after, preserved, and better than ever.
In collaboration with Johns Garage, Care of Carl has curated a carefully selected range of sports and enthusiast cars. The idea behind the collaboration is to highlight vehicles that combine classic design with enduring quality – cars with a story, character, and a unique charm of their own.
The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S is essentially one of the most sought-after versions of the 993 generation – the last air-cooled 911. With its wide Turbo body, all-wheel drive, and pure analog feel, the 4S model is something of a sweet spot in Porsche's modern history. But this particular example? It is something truly special.
Unique Colour Choice
The exterior is finished in Turquoise Metallic – a Paint to Sample option that is as bold as it is distinctive. The shade shifts with the light, perfectly highlighting the classic lines of the 993 with remarkable balance. To protect the original finish, the wheel arch edges have been fitted with paint protection film. Additional highlights include 18-inch 993 Turbo wheels, a high-mounted third brake light, and an HR Coilover sport suspension – giving the car both a visual and dynamic boost without compromising comfort.
An Interior for Grand Touring – or Quick Alpine Runs
Inside, the car features a grey full leather interior, with so-called Soft Look leather seats both front and rear. The electrically adjustable front seats (8-way) are paired with automatic climate control, a Becker Grand Prix CD stereo, HiFi speaker system, floor mats, and a rear window wiper – striking a perfect balance between luxury and usability. This is a car made for long, fast, and frequent drives. A claim supported by the well-maintained odometer reading of 132,510 km.
What’s Under the Hood?
At its heart is the classic 3.6-litre air-cooled flat-six, producing 285 hp and 340 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox, offering confidence in all conditions and grip that is as impressive as it is inspiring. To enhance the experience, the car is equipped with a Cargraphic sports exhaust system with adjustable valves – allowing you to switch between subdued cruising and pure, unfiltered flat-six sound. 0–100 km/h takes just 5.3 seconds, with a top speed of 270 km/h. But as always with the 911, it’s the journey that matters most.

Our Summary
